Kodak or Fuji would have gifts sets for sale, with a camera like the “Disc” or “110”. The set would include a couple rolls of film, a case or wrist strap, just in time for Christmas, of course and these types of toys would be on my list to Santa. A camera was a toy to me. A toy. I did it for fun, for myself, my friends, family, I was always the one with the camera. Now, decades later, I'm getting paid to be the one with the camera. I no longer ask Santa but I still love getting new “toys” to use for my photography business. I still get to have fun (mostly) but at the end of the day I am so grateful to get to create and use my photography skills to support my family. It’s a dream come true, albeit a long time to get here.
